At NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2, Ember Moon finally arrived in NXT. But who is she?
Before her match with Billie Kay, all we had seen of her to this point have been vignettes making her look like a Mortal Kombat character, watching her teleport and hearing a voiceover talking about a prophecy of fire. Neat!
Moon is called Adrienne Reese and signed with the company in September of 2015. Formerly known as “The Goddess” Athena on the indy scene, she’s competed in some of the top promotions across the United States with appearances in Shimmer, SHINE, ROH and Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion.
She’s now made her NXT debut, which is great, as she’s badly needed. With Carmella, Eva Marie and Alexa Bliss all called up to the main roster, the developmental brand needed some new blood for their women's division. Luckily, Reese is a great in-ring worker, and should soon be in showcase feuds with Asuka and Bayley soon.
