8 Things WWE Got Right At WWE Payback 2017
Some logical storytelling made sure Payback wasn't a total house of horrors...
From the moment Vince McMahon announced the 2017 superstar shake-up, Payback was always going to be a transitional pay-per-view at best. The draft left the show in a no-win position with a card that no longer made any long term sense - not to mention the fact that RAW's top two championships were absent entirely.
Whilst it might not be wise to judge Payback against the usual WWE pay-per-view standards, the show actually turned out quite well. All of the traditional matches on the main card were in the three star range, and a couple of fresh faces put in their best performances on the main roster to date. RAW needed someone to stand up last night, and they received more than one response.
