1. Triple H Winning The WWE World Heavyweight Championship In 2016
On some level, this is the right decision. The main event of WrestleMania was always going to be Roman Reigns vs. Triple H, and it was just a question of whether the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was going to be involved. The story has revolved around trying to get the belt off of Reigns, so the authority coming into this match with the best chance at removing it from his grasp ended in the right way, with them doing so. Despite this, it is still utterly ridiculous that Triple H is the focus of the main story in WWE in WrestleMania season. For years now, a main topic of conversation has been WWE's inability to put any faith in the new generation of stars, and last night all but confirmed their lack of vision. RAW is going to open with a victory parade for Triple H, with Stephanie and Vince in tow. This would be fine if it was 2000, but it isn't. That was 16 years ago. The manner in which he did it was galling too. Swanning into the ring and eliminating three faces with ease, Triple H didn't look in any sort of trouble at any point. Reigns and Ambrose were booked to be carrying injuries, but both put up little resistance in getting dumped over the top. Once again WWE had a chance to push the button on its new guys, and once again WWE went back to the McMahon-Helmsley Empire. It was a depressing way to end what was otherwise a show worth staying up all night.
