What is it with WWE and utterly juvenile chants? The Rock may have made a career out of it, but recent years have seen a number of babyfaces try unsuccessfully to get the WWE Universe to chant some puerile insult at a heel, usually with little reasoning. It is another example of the promotion using ‘The Rock Template’ for performers lacking Dwayne’s confidence and charisma.

The latest in the long line of eye-rolling chants is ‘Biscuit Butt’. Mickie James has referred to WWE RAW Women’s Champion by this insult on a number of occasions recently, and it still isn’t entirely clear what it actually means. Does it mean that her posterior is crumbly? Sugar-coated?

A quick search of Urban Dictionary tells me that it is a term for a butt that is ‘cute and in-shape’. So that is an insult now? WWE often (read: always) misses the mark when it comes to forced schoolyard chanting, but this may well be a new low.

Alexa retained the title in a decent little match, and hopefully the days of the ‘biscuit butt’ refrain are done.
