4. That Finish

The dramatic finish was a corker too, especially considering that Cole got some timely comeuppance for that superkick back at TakeOver: Vengeance Day in February. He handcuffed Kyle to the ropes and booted his old mate in the skull again. Then, he made the biggest mistake any heel can make.

He favoured taunting over finishing the job.

Suddenly, a rejuvenated O'Reilly (who was working with one arm) caught Cole's foot and locked on a heel hook that forced Mr. Bay Bay to tap out. The quickness of Cole's submission sold how lethal the hold was, and that also made Kyle look even more like a bad ass. He was working one-handed, remember.

Hearing Adam yell, "I was the king of The Undisputed Era" before going down had a sense of finality to it. He might be AEW bound, or he may take some time out to rest and recover. Either way, he did O'Reilly proud by wrapping up their story this strongly.
