8 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 24
3. Band Practice
Another year, another absolutely bananas John Cena entrance that - this and the following years in particular - was far more entertaining than the match that followed.
A spectacular victory for Kevin Dunn's penchant for over-production, a marching band played 'The Champ' out, with the slightly knackered arena lights providing little more than an emergency hue instead of a blinding spotlight.
Cena got to walk and run out, soaking up separate open-air pops (with the usual lashings of disdain) for his bizarre arrival in between tuba aficionados and the theatrical charge to the ring that eventually became just another part of his contemporary Ultimate Warrior aesthetic alongside swathes of neon.
Like Warrior too, it was big, it was daft, and it was brilliant.
