8 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (15 April)

Alexander and TJP tear it down, Jazz retires, and Myers and Cardona get their poison picked.

This was the penultimate episode of IMPACT on AXS TV before Rebellion, so it needed to be great.

In terms of the in-ring action, it was great. Josh Alexander vs. TJP, Brian Myers vs. Jake Something, and Matt Cardona vs. Sami Callihan were all excellent encounters, while Karl Anderson vs. Crazzy Steve was good and gained an Up, but wasn't quite as enjoyable as those three other bouts.

Outside of the ring, however, things weren't quite as exciting. Jazz's retirement speech was ruined by both a lack of fans in attendance to give her the proper sendoff, alongside the interruption of Fire N Flava that resulted in one more match for 'The Female Fighting Phenom'. Furthermore, the show-closing Rebellion press conference between Kenny Omega and Rich Swann wasn't up to par as it should have been, while Tenille Dashwood's new talk show - aptly titled All About Me - wasn't great.

As we head into the 25 April pay-per-view, things are looking bright. The card for the night currently stands at eight matches, including five title matches and a last man standing bout. There's one more IMPACT to go until then; it needs to go into Rebellion with a bang.

Let's get to it...
