8 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 29)
Step aside, AEW, as tag team wrestling truly belongs to Impact Wrestling.
Impact Wrestling's first Impact Plus special since February was confirmed last week to be taking place on Saturday evening, as Victory Road returns. Coming into this week, we had one match confirmed for the event, but now, we head towards Saturday with six following a mixed bag of an episode..
Tag team wrestling excelled on the episode, with both The Good Brothers vs. The Rascalz, and The North vs. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton being excellent matches of pure tag team chemistry. The Motor City Machine Guns may want to up their game going forward if they hope to hold on to those titles any longer if this is the sort of level their potential challengers are performing at.
Elsewhere on the night, Heath finally got what he wanted as he'll wrestle at Victory Road, Eddie Edwards' mystery attacker was unveiled as Impact Hall of Fame inductee Ken Shamrock, John E. Bravo's best man was officially decided as Fallah Bahh battled Johnny Swinger in a match that had no expectations (and for valid reasons), EC3 again warned Moose of what he had in mind for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and a whole lot of other things that set the tone for Saturday night.
Let's get to it...
