5. Riddle, Dain Whet Everyone’s Appetite
Only having about five TakeOvers a year featuring five bouts each makes it difficult to squeeze in a lot of different stuff, but NXT managed to add a nice teaser Saturday night.
As the announcers prepared to move to the NXT North American Championship match, Matt Riddle came out to the ring to call out Killian Dain, who had attacked him previously. Dain obliged, and the two had a pull-apart brawl that saw them both fight off security as they continued to tear into each other.
Dain ultimately got the upper hand by jumping off the stage with Riddle on his back through a table stack, leaving the Original Bro laid out.
The match is for a future episode of NXT, but this was the kind of thing that would send a casual fan to check it out when it comes up. Nicely done.
