This is a tough one to count against the performers or the NXT writers. In fact, youll see an argument countering this one later. But it still bears mentioning that the main event of Sami Zayn versus Kevin Owens for Owens NXT Championship was not on the level of their previous encounter. Of course, that was due to Samis injured shoulder, which severely hampered their ability to cut loose. The result was a match that was wildly different from the first one, and while that isnt a bad thing at all, this match also featured a non-finish, which has been a rarity in NXT. Its clear they were trying to work around Zayns limitations, but as a main event especially after the string of main events NXT has had at their Takeover series this one couldnt match up. All of that being said, this is the mildest of gripes. If you put this match as the main in about half of WWEs PPVs, it would have been an improvement.
