2. Elimination Match All Action
There definitely could be some nitpicking about the order of eliminations in the fatal five-way #1 contender’s match Monday night, but sometimes you have to overlook that and just enjoy what we got.
There were numerous marquee matchups in that bout, and we got to see a lot of action between all five men. Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, Robert Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles all got opportunities to shine during the match, with Rey earning the Universal Championship shot next week.
You know the bout went well because of the crowd reaction throughout, as they were clearly invested in it, rooting openly for Mysterio, especially in the latter stages. Rey winning (after dedicating the match to his son) was a good call, as the masked superstar is a safe bet to have a great match with Seth Rollins, but losing won’t tarnish him.
