You had to wonder when enough would be enough for Carmella.
For months, ‘Mella has bailed R-Truth out of numerous tough spots as he struggled to hold onto or regain the 24/7 Championship. Monday night, Carmella appeared to have enough. She got on the mic and told Truth she was tired of the nonstop looking over her shoulder. Truth acknowledged it and hugged her – and she rolled him up for the title.
Here’s the best part: Truth laughed and raised her hand, admitting she got the better of him. And then, the women’s division barreled down the ramp to chase Carmella, who once again jumped on R-Truth’s back as they ran out of the arena.
And just like that, we now enter a new phase of the 24/7 title, with Truth likely helping Mella hold onto the strap.
