8. Is Lana’s Routine Deliberate?
Previously, this column has blasted Lana as being obnoxious and clueless on the mic – and not in a heelish manner.
But Monday, she almost felt like she was being that way on purpose, as in, this is the character, trolling wrestling fans into hating her. Lana climbed into the ring during Bobby Lashley’s match against Cedric Alexander, pointing out that next week is the most important day in her life, her marriage to Lashley. She told Cedric she couldn’t have her future husband bruised and damaged for that special day, so she suggested a “Greco-Roman wrestling match” instead.
That went nowhere, but she turned to the fans and bragged about how smart she was, and that the fans love her, eliciting more canned boos. It certainly was annoying, and her next outing on the mic might land in the “downs” column, but we’ll give this an “up” on the basis that it might actually work.
Consider this feeling generous or in the Christmas spirit, or whatever.
