4. Truth Ruins Drake’s Big Night
This writer has come around to the antics of the 24/7 Championship, as Drake Maverick and R-Truth really have taken the opportunity for comedy and just run crazy with it.
Monday, Maverick was supposed to consummate his marriage to Renee Michelle at a nearby hotel, when Truth stalked him (still calling him Hornswoggle – a short guy with a funny accent). In their room, Renee asked Drake to slip into something more comfortable, which he did: his 24/7 Championship.
Then room service arrived. However, it was a referee. Truth emerged from under the cart and tried to roll Maverick up. Thorny roses got involved, but Truth managed a crossbody onto the bed to win back the title, leaving Drake to chase after him in his underwear.
And the walk-off comment belonged to Corey Graves: “I would’ve utilized the small package.”
