This should not be construed as justifying the return of the Bella Twins, but if they’re going to be back, then this is better.

After having to listen to Renee Young try to sell the Bella Twins as trailblazers in the women’s evolution, we finally got to see Nikki and Brie ditch any pretense of being smiling babyfaces, turning heel by attacking Ronda Rousey post-match. The Raw Women’s Champion thought she had allies, but instead she had a target on her back, with Nikki presumably set for a title match at Evolution.

The Bellas are lousy babyfaces on their own. (Brie is good alongside her husband, however.) But they’re natural heels, mocking their opponents and double-teaming them.

Maybe they’ll demand respect for being trailblazers and get booed for it, and the announcers can stop trying to plug them as saviors of the women’s division.
