8 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Battleground 2015

7. Hail To The King, Baby

Despite the feud between R-Truth and King Barrett being one of the worst parts of Raw in recent months, the Battleground Kickoff match between the two gets the faintest of thumbs up here for two very important reasons: 1) It was actually a pretty decent match, and 2) This has to be the end of the feud, right? The battle over the crown might be a silly storyline, but as Michael Cole noted, the King of the Ring crown has changed hands (errr, heads) twice, from Haku to €œHacksaw€ Jim Duggan, and then from Duggan to Randy Savage. Things could have been handled better, but at least Barrett and Truth have some chemistry in the ring, which is apparent even in their short encounters. Of course, the rose-colored glasses could be a side effect of knowing that Barrett won, and that should force Truth to put the plunger away and move on.
