Putting a live microphone in someones hands can be a risky proposition. You could end up with someone like the Rock or Steve Austin, or you could look like Jeremy Piven referring to the SummerFest. With the Divas, there just havent been many good options for someone who can handle a live promo or interview on Raw. Would you trust Summer Rae or Cameron on the mic? AJ Lee showed that a woman could get on the mic and command attention without screaming though that would help from time to time and hold her own with whoever else was speaking, male or female. Its a quality that is lost on the current crop of Divas. A promo is many times better than simply relying on the announcers to paint a picture or using a Total Divas crossover to get a message across.AJ was fearless on the mic, delivering some scathing remarks and not holding back when it was warranted. She could turn typical bathroom break segments into really watchable programming. It will be interesting to see if other women start to get more promo time to fill the gap in light of AJs departure.
