The rumour mill has gone into complete overdrive, and for the first time in years there would seem to be actual fuel behind this fire; Kurt Angle himself has come out and said publicly that he will be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment, although when this happens is as yet unknown.

Either way, Angle stated that he has had meetings recently with Triple H and Vince McMahon, so the omens look good for an Olympic return.

All of which means fantasy bookers worldwide are about to go into super hyper overdrive. Angle returning to WWE has been desired by fans from the moment he left, with many thinking he would just go to TNA in order to take some time off from the WWE schedule before returning 'home'. That was a decade ago now.

How would you book Kurt Angle's return? There are many potential, erm, angles one could put together to maximise any and all returns from his, ahem, return. Whether it is in the ring, outside the ring or even through various other forms of WWE media, Angle's return to the fold is guaranteed to be major news. WWE will want to make sure it makes the biggest splash possible.

With that in mind, here are eight ways that WWE could book the overdue return of Kurt Angle.

8. A Series Of Vignettes

It may not be the sexiest option available to World Wrestling Entertainment when it comes to booking a hypothetical return for Kurt Angle. but it certainly is the safest option. Despite the Monday Night Wars ending almost 20 years ago TV ratings are still important to WWE, and as such advertising the return of one of the most iconic stars in company history ahead of time would make sense.

Despite being in WWE for less than eight years during his first tenure Angle's list of accomplishments speaks for itself. If Angle's return were advertised six weeks ahead of time, WWE could quite easily create six vignettes covering his WWE career that would bring a tear to the eye of old fans, as well as bringing new fans up to speed on their new Olympic Hero.

This will be the least desirable option, but those vignettes would be pretty darn sweet.
