Another instance where a world title was decided via a massive battle royal, the 1992 Royal Rumble is remembered quite fondly as an amazing show featuring perhaps the best Rumble match of all-time. Ric Flair was fairly new to the company and cemented his claim as "The Real World's Champion" by entering the match at #3 and going all the way to victory in just over an hour. And while not nearly as filled with detritus as World War III, there were definitely some guys in this match who had no business getting a chance to become champion. Names like Virgil, The Berzerker, and a Knobbs-less Jerry Saggs kicked and punched for their shot at glory, but alas it was not to be. Nevertheless, I prefer to think there's an alternate universe somewhere in which Repo Man ran the gauntlet and reigned over WWE for the next decade.
