8 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Wrestled On All In
4. Matt Cross
You'd be right to forget about Matt Cross' inclusion on the All In card because his main show opener vs. MJF wasn't announced before the show, did little to elicit a positive reaction to open the main show, and failed to act as a positive example of both men's abilities.
In hindsight, both guys should have been bumped to the Over Budget Battle Royale to avoid such a hindrance.
Nonetheless, the match wasn't a total sham. MJF played up his typical a**hole schtick, hiding behind referee Paul Turner at one stage, whereas Cross flew across the ring like it was still the mid-2000s. He's not aged a day, as his patented Space Flying Tiger Drop looked just as mesmerising here as it did during Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's 2006 Battle Of Los Angeles.
MJF focusing on Cross' arm throughout the match brought with it some decent moments, namely a hammerlock gutwrench Powerbomb that looked decent, but there was something missing from the match's aura; hype. Had the match been made official beforehand, it would have benefitted from the same reaction the other matches received via Being The Elite.
Again, it wasn't a terrible match per se, but it could have done with something more considering the two names involved.
