8 Wrestling Heel Turns That Were Immediately Reversed

2. Stone Cold

You would have thought that, having made the boldest heel turn in professional wrestling history, WWE would at least have had the cajones to stick to their guns for more than a couple of months.

It's a mere footnote in the overall story, but that's not strictly what happened. Shortly after Stone Cold's mega turn at WrestleMania X-Seven, he was back fighting the side of good in time to captain to captain Team WWF at InVasion in July.

Granted, the U-turn only lasted a couple of weeks before they once again had a change of heart. This time, he left his teammates in the lurch by delivering a Stunner to Kurt Angle in the match's climactic sequence, thereby joining up with The Alliance.

None of that really seems completely necessary given that the plan was always for him to join up with Shane and Stephanie, but then InVasion is the highest-grossing non-WrestleMania pay-per-view in the company's history, so you can't really argue with the results.
