8 WWE Stars Who Should Turn Heel
8. John Cena
Let's get the obvious choice out of the way first, shall we? It's the leader of Cenation himself (although questions still remain if he won the popular vote), John Cena. It may not have escaped your attention that Cena is something of a divisive character in the WWE universe. Hated by the smarks and loved by the kids, Cena is able to generate very conflicting emotions among the audience. He's basically the WWE's version of Brexit.
The doctor of Thuganomics (a questionable doctorate) has also replaced The Rock as the public face of the company. He's managed to cross over into mainstream entertainment, which means he'll do endless promotional work for the WWE across all kinds of media streams. Because of this your parents probably know who John Cena is and for the WWE, that means a baby-faced John Cena is good for business.
For these reasons alone, it must make them incredibly reluctant to do the decent thing and turn Cena full heel. Which is a shame because time is running short on his career, and one last heel run would be the ideal death knell for his character. He'd be perfect as an ageing, arrogant Superman-type who stubbornly refuses to accept the dawn of the new era. And then he raps about it.
OK, maybe without the rapping.
