9 NXT Talents Who Are Destined To Fail In WWE

WWE's development system doesn't always produce a gem...

By Scott Saunders /

WWE is beginning to reap the rewards of their highly-praised developmental system, NXT. The NXT base in Florida has become a Mecca for potential WWE Superstars of tomorrow to either learn their craft, or to adjust it accordingly having made their way through some difficult years on the independent circuit. Proof of the success of NXT (in it's current format) was rubber stamped at WrestleMania in April. One former NXT talent in Roman Reigns headlined the event with Brock Lesnar, while former Shield compatriot and the first ever NXT Champion, Seth Rollins, cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. Rollins is now the first NXT Champion to ever reach the pinnacle of the industry, after he snatched the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Reigns' and Lesnar's grasp. There's no doubt the future looks bright, too. Neville has just made his debut on Raw and SmackDown, while the likes of Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens are nigh-on certainties to be main roster stars of the near future. But while success is plentiful at the moment, being in NXT is by no means a guarantee that a Superstar will succeed on the main roster. There's already been proof of that as a number of Superstars and Divas have struggled to establish themselves on the big shows, and now find themselves on a descent as quick as their initial rise to the top. Taking into account the Superstars and Divas who currently find themselves in NXT, and the ones who have already made the jump, here are nine who already look to have lost their way. One thing's for sure, if something doesn't change for these guys soon, they could find themselves completely lost in the shuffle of such a competitive field.
