9 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (2 Nov)
4. Colt Cabana (Scott Colten) Returns To All Elite Wrestling
Colt Cabana and Chris Jericho had one of those perfectly enjoyable television back-and-forths we're all fed multiple times a week from both major North American promotions, but every time the contest peaked, it did so thanks to the emotion that hung around from Cabana's hugely dramatic entrance.
Jericho had challenged any former Ring Of Honor champion, meaning that a surprise had to be hotter than a person a promotion would hypothetically advertise in advance. "Marcia Colton's baby boy" was absolutely this.
A whispered talking point during CM Punk's run before he became a screamed-about absentee as it imploded, coming back in from the freezing cold looked as vindicating for for Cabana as it was potentially quite vindictive from Tony Khan, Chris Jericho or whomever else orchestrated it.
The match itself sailed by on the scale of the shock experienced by those in-the-know. Which, at this point, was probably most people. Eyes and ears will next turn to the ramifications, should any occur.
