Although not as strong as recent episodes, last night's IMPACT Wrestling served its purpose to encapsulate the magnitude of Saturday's Knockouts Knockdown special.

A promotional vignette aired a handful of times, featuring various icons of the division from throughout the years, complete with a brief Deonna Purrazzo piece-to-camera where she rightly stated the knockouts provided a platform for wrestlers like her. There were (official) debuts in Mercedes Martinez and returns in Lady Frost. A Monster's Ball was booked in the memory of Daffney.

Most of everything clicked, though it became apparent that promoting two marquee events at once isn't a strong suit for IMPACT. At points, they struggled to keep up with everything, which then didn't help when Josh Mathews (replacing Matt Striker) brought up Turning Point on 20 November. Still, both Knockouts Knockdown and Bound For Glory have a decent amount of hype to them.

In-ring, Steve Maclin punched his ticket to Bound For Glory's X Division Title bout, Christian Cage and Josh Alexander worked excellently well as a cohesive unit, Bullet Club prevailed over Chris Sabin and FinJuice in a great opener, and Brian Myers' Learning Tree stable stood tall over former World and X Division Champions for literally zero reason.

Let's get to it...
