The most patient of us (or, you, because your writer is having f*cking none of this) will have accepted that monstrosity of a toy belt as the payoff to the promise, but the company had more in mind for the character later in the show anyway - highlighting that this was little more than a merchandise commercial masquerading as a Sports Entertainment vignette.
