Ace Austin has officially reached peak scumbag.
As he sauntered to the ring for his X Division Championship qualifier against Eddie Edwards, Ace was fashioning what appeared to be a classic Austin 3:16 shirt, but his was a tad different - on the back, it stated 'I just banged your wife', referencing Eddie's wife Alisha. As if that wasn't enough, the trickster happily made out with a fan stood in the front row, proving just how much of a sleazebag he can truly be.
In terms of the actual match here, it was another stormer from the rivals. Eddie nearly picked up the victory with a Boston Knee Party, only for Reno Scum - a tandem Ace has used recently to take care of the Eddie Edwards situation - yanked the referee out of the ring. Ace would then garner just a two count after nailing The Fold, but a backhand with a piece of metal stuffed inside his cast was enough to gain the three count.
Ace Austin is thriving under the spotlight right now. There's no question about that. If we're looking into the future, it's a high possibility that he'll get snapped up by either NXT or AEW. As a result, Impact needs to make the most of their time with him - he needs to win that X Division Championship ladder match come 20 October.
