3. Trashing Zayn
This column has mostly reserved judgment on Sami Zayn since his return to Raw last month, mostly because this writer didn’t know what to make of his new role as Vince McMahon’s avatar, bellowing out insults at the fans.
And then this week, we got our definitive answer.
A couple minutes into Sami’s rant, Braun Strowman came out and chased Zayn to the back, catching him and tossing him into a Dumpster. That was bad. Then a trash truck drove up and hoisted the bin and dumped the contents into the back as Braun just shrugged. (To be fair, it was a top loading truck, so it might not have been a compactor.)
But this is what they’ve got for Sami Zayn? Welcome back from double shoulder surgery, you’re going to bash the fans and get tossed in the trash after four weeks and one televised match.
