1. Ambrose Unplugged
Is anyone else getting the feeling that Dean Ambroses promos and interactions with Triple H are unscripted? Ambrose has been regarded as one of the better guys on the mic, but lately his promos have felt a little more authentic and less forced. That could coincide with him doing less reciting what the writers put in front of him and more speaking from the heart.
At times, it feels like wrestlers have fully scripted promos, that theyre reading lines written on the turnbuckles. It doesnt feel authentic. No matter how good someone is, being force-fed lines often leads to disingenuous delivery. For the longest time, Ambroses promos seemed designed to promote just how crazy he is, how much he lived up to his Lunatic Fringe nickname.
But Monday, even though Triple H referred to Dean as crazy, Ambroses promo was quite grounded. It was wild, but rooted in not caring about what was supposed to happen at WrestleMania, but in wanting the world title for himself. Dean spoke of forcing Triple H to respect him by beating him. He joked about going on the talk show circuits, throwing out the first pitch at baseball games and visiting kids at schools as world champion.

All of it felt like Ambrose was being more genuine in his promo and interactions with Triple H than previous spots. And that made for a more powerful promo and probably a stronger reaction for Ambrose.
