This suggestion has been discussed all over the place during the last several months in large part because of the WWEs failure to adequately utilize their latest legends appearances. The WWE has to do a better job of using their rich history of former talents better. On the October 19th, 2015 episode of RAW that featured Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar, Triple H and Ric Flair, there wasnt one lasting, memorable moment about the show. You might vaguely recall Shawn Michaels verbally running down the WWE Champion without any consequence, but I can almost guarantee that has been completely forgotten by now. The WWE has given the audience no reason to remember it. Its not often that the WWE has major names like Austin, Undertaker or Michaels appear on TV so when they do, a plan should be in place for them. Why couldnt Lesnar have laid one of them out to send a message to Undertaker before Hell In A Cell? Why couldnt Flair have been outsmarted by Sheamus or Rollins, with or without the help of Triple H (just to possibly add some layers to the story)? Theres ways to use legends even without having them take bumps, but they shouldnt just be background, wall art or used for promotional consideration. That's Lord Alfred Hayes' job. It doesnt always have to be A-List Hall of Famers, but using stars from yesterday is a good way to get back viewers that may have tuned out or have forgotten about the product, but if the legends don't come off as important then the opportunity was wasted. It also helps give back to some of the boys and is a living, breathing, walking yet subtle advertisement for the WWE Network. Speaking of legends...
