Think about this for a second: WWE was so worried about Roman Reigns, the babyface challenger at WrestleMania, getting booed at shows leading up to the big event, that they ran an injury angle to take him off TV for weeks. Can you imagine Steve Austin or The Rock being absent from TV on the Raw episodes prior to their showdowns on the Grandest Stage of Them All? It's unfathomable. Instead of actually trying to exercise some creative muscle and write themselves out of the mess they'd gotten themselves into, they decided to hide their chosen one to spare him the wrath of the fans and avoid the perception that he wasn't getting obliterated by the live crowds every week on Raw. Whether the majority of fans wanted him in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match or not, that wasn't going to change, and the company should have been working to tell a compelling story rather than doing the creative version of waving the white flag regarding the response to Reigns.
