Aalyah Mysterio To Be Used As WWE Personality Going Forward
Don't expect Rey's daughter to follow Dominik into the ring, though...
Aalyah Mysterio is to be retained as a WWE on-air personality following the events that transpired on this week's episode of Raw, reports Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Rey Mysterio's daughter will work as an "actress," not a wrestler, and isn't expected to follow her brother Dominik in transitioning to the ring anytime soon. Current speculation points towards Aalyah potentially turning on her family.
Aalyah played a small role in last week's Dominik vs. Seth Rollins cage match, checking on the fallen Murphy after he had been assaulted by 'The Monday Night Messiah,' leading to rumours of a potential storyline between the two. Murphy consoled her on this week's episode, saying the war between the Mysterio family and Rollins had gone too far.
This came following a retread of the old Eddie Guerrero/Dominik storyline as Rollins claimed he had conclusive proof that Aalyah wasn't Rey's daughter. Seth has already beaten both of the Mysterio men, taking Rey's out of its socket at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules and defeating Dominik inside the steel cage.
It's clear that Rollins' war on the Mysterios is far from over, so expect further developments next week.
