Adam Cole can mark "make a small child cry" off his heel checklist following last night's AEW Dynamite.

The 2022 Owen Hart Cup winner drew real tears from an audience member as he and reDRagon betrayed The Young Bucks, beating Matt and Nick Jackson down in the Undisputed Elite's return segment. This followed Cole anointing himself the group's leader, saying that with himself and Kyle O'Reilly not cleared to compete, the Bucks had to pick Bobby Fish as their partner in the upcoming AEW trios tournament. If not, they wouldn't be able to participate.

Because they'd be injured. Cue: the surprise attack.

AEW's production team cut to the upset kid as all this was going on, though the torment was short-lived. 'Hangman' Adam Page came down the ramp to save The Young Bucks, reuniting with them in the process, while Cole, O'Reilly, and Fish escaped.

Fortunately, we now know that young Sawyer is doing just fine. Logan Elliott hit Twitter to let the world know that Page's save made all the difference:-

'Hangman' has been separated from his former Elite stablemates since he and tag partner Kenny Omega went their separate ways in 2020. He has had tension with the Bucks almost since day one of AEW, however. This was intended to be their big reunion.
