Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly will go face to face on next week's episode of NXT, WWE has announced.

This was confirmed by William Regal during last night's show. The duo have been warring for the duration of Cole's latest heel run, with the former Undisputed Era leader tearing the group apart when he turned on O'Reilly and co. earlier this year. It is expected that they will settle their differences at TakeOver 36 on 22 August.

Cole and O'Reilly have worked two big singles matches already in 2021, with KOR taking the first at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver in April. Cole then beat O'Reilly to level the series out at 1-1 on 6 July's Great American Bash special.

As previously reported, Cole has agreed to work for WWE through SummerSlam 2021 weekend despite his contract with the promotion expiring sometime in July. WWE is yet to offer him a new deal - but expects to do this soon.

A Raquel Gonzalez segment has also been announced for next week's NXT, following on from Dakota Kai's recent betrayal. Ilja Dragunov will be on the show ahead of his TakeOver match with WALTER while Ember Moon will go one on one with Sarray.
