AEW Dark Wrestler Suffers Torn ACL
Spare a thought for the Nightmare Family's Brooke Havok, who's now set for a long recovery...
AEW Dark newcomer Brooke Havok has suffered a torn ACL and is now set for a long period on the sidelines.
This is according to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, who reports that Havok incurred the injury while wrestling Leyla Hirsch last week. The match was intended for this week's episode of Dark and is still listed as parted of the lineup.
While there's no word on a timeline for Havok's in-ring return, recovering from an ACL typically takes around six-to-nine months.
Havok is a Nightmare Factory trainee and Cody Rhodes' first ever wrestling student. The former AEW TNT Champion revealed as much ahead of Dark's 26 January episode, on which Brooke debuted against Dr. Britt Baker DMD:-
Havok lost that bout as an enhancement talent. Following Dark's usual patterns, she almost certain fell to Hirsch at last week's tapings as well.
A bitter, bitter blow for Havok at this early stage in her wrestling career, though she at least has a strong support system around her with Rhodes, QT Marshall, and the rest of the Nightmare Factory crew. Here's hoping she's able to mount a full recovery before long.
