Double Or Nothing 2021 could bring the end of an era for AEW's faithful.

It's almost scary to think that this is the third Double Or Nothing.

The pandemic robbed AEW fans of the second one, but that first explosion onto the pro wrestling scene back in 2019 will live long in the memory. Back then, Jon Moxley was a rumour, Chris Jericho was the head boy and Kenny Omega seemed like a champion elect.

Fast forward to 2021 and Omega is on top. Meanwhile, Mox has been stuck in the tag division (for now) and Jericho's Inner Circle dominance hangs in the balance. There are a few weaker matches on Sunday's pay-per-view card, but there are also some brilliant stories to be told, and you just know the calibre of pure wrestling will be high.

AEW don't actually have another supershow confirmed until November's Full Gear. They'll surely announce a few in the interim, but there's little doubting how huge a night this is for the company. Big crowds should return soon, and they need a product to be proud of when they do.

So, drama, title changes and more - here's everything the company must do to make Double Or Nothing a winner...

10. Sting’s Weaknesses Get Exposed

AEW's announcers have sowed the seeds for some disappointment over the past few months. Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur have been careful to note that Sting's first pay-per-view match for AEW happened in the cinematic realm and not in a standard match.

That'll happen this weekend.

Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page warned that Sting would fall by their hand in a more standard tag-team match, and that's exactly what needs to happen. No, please don't get salty about that proposed finish. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Stinger eating a pin in 2021, especially if it helps other workers.

Showing some weaknesses to the icon's game might not be a bad thing. Darby Allin can be the guiding light that inspires his hero back to tippy-top form, and the Sky/Page combo will always be able to point to this victory as a turning point for them as a team.
