AEW Double Or Nothing 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

Last year, AEW's third Double Or Nothing pay-per-view was headlined by a crazy 'Stadium Stampede' match between The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle. Beneath that, Kenny Omega retained his AEW World Title in an unlikely three-way vs. PAC and Orange Cassidy.
In 2022, Chris Jericho has a new group - neither The Inner Circle nor The Pinnacle are prevalent on company TV, and ex-champ Omega hasn't been part of the package himself for a long, long time. Hangman Page supplanted him in the title hot seat, but Page himself is about to be replaced.
Hold onto your arses, people.
The fourth Double Or Nothing will crown brand new champions. It'll also feature the first ever 'Anarchy In The Arena' match (believed to be a tweaked version of 'Stadium Stampede') and close out the first ever men's/women's Owen Hart Cups.
There's a lot to look forward to this weekend, but All Elite must get key decisions right if they want DoN to set up the rest of the year. Here's everything, including Punk's destiny, that must happen in Las Vegas.
10. The Six-Man Opens
Technically, a pre-show bout pitting Hookhausen vs. Tony Nese and Mark Sterling is the first thing fans will see live in the arena. On pay-per-view though? Yeah, there's no better way to jumpstart Double Or Nothing than with a mad trios match between House Of Black and Death Triangle.
These lads need to deliver here.
Their feud has been a bit up and down, so all six should be determined to put on a show and prove that AEW's forthcoming trios titles will be a winner. Malakai Black's squad badly needs the win too, because they've shed a lot of lustre by struggling to beat lesser teams lately.
Seeing Buddy Matthews pin Penta would be sweet, but so would seeing Malakai get one over on PAC. Regardless of who scores the pin for HOB, both squads must fly around the place and bring the intensity from minute one. Their respective futures might depend on raucous crowd reactions.
