AEW Double Or Nothing 2024: 10 Things That Must Happen
10. Hook Beats Chris Jericho
Technically, Hook vs. Chris Jericho hasn't even been confirmed at time of writing. This piece was penned before Wednesday's episode of Dynamite, and that's where AEW will thrash out who challenges for the FTW Title. Let's be honest here: It's Taz's kid. Bryan Keith or Katsuyori Shibata would be swerves.
Not welcome ones either.
An awful lot of AEW hardcores just want less Jericho, at least for a while. His current work is a pale shadow of yesteryear, and many fans are flat out sick of him now. It'd be wise for Tony Khan to read the room (something the All Elite boss admittedly isn't great at), and have Hook regain the FTW strap at DoN.
Then, Jericho can slip into the tag division alongside new protege Big Bill, or maybe even take a backseat during Bill's wrecking ball singles push. The man himself might not want to admit it, but Jericho does need a breather from AEW's product. He's become a dark cloud for many.
