AEW fans shouldn't completely rule out thoughts of seeing Darby Allin roar back onto screens at the company's Double Or Nothing 2025 pay-per-this this weekend. The daredevil star hasn't worked a match for the company since beating Ricochet on a special Christmas Day edition of Dynamite in late-December (the show was taped on 22 Dec), and he hasn't appeared on TV since being viciously attacked by the Death Riders on the final ever episode of Rampage on 27 December.

That was an angle designed to write Allin off television so he could resume his training to scale Mount Everest.

Now, Fightful Select is reporting that there's a chance Darby could show up at DoN. Tony Khan said it "wasn't an impossibility" during his media conference call ahead of the promotion's latest pay-per-view. Interesting. Where are those Jim Carrey from Dumb & Dumber, "So you're telling me there's a chance" .GIFs when needed?!

Tony Khan Congratulated Darby On Scaling Mount Everest

Mid-media call, Khan paused to congratulate Allin on reaching the summit of Everest, and the AEW boss said he's "so proud" of what Darby achieved. It's understood that safely climbing back down the mountain can take anywhere up to a full week, but Tony refused to abandon thoughts that Allin could be in attendance for the next AEW PPV anyway.

Darby successfully climbed Everest then showed off an AEW flag at the top. That's also something TK will be proud of. He said that Allin has become "the first pro wrestler to ever climb Mount Everest and one of the first pro athletes". That's some accomplishment, and it's exactly what the AEW star put his mind to when he started his training.

Attention will quickly turn to his part in ongoing All Elite storylines though. Darby will surely vow revenge on Jon Moxley and his Death Riders for putting him on the bench (even though anyone with social media knows he was actually taking a break from TV to climb Everest!), and he'll become a focal point once he returns.
