PWInsider have confirmed that AEW Dynamite will now not be taking place in Rochester, NY, next week as originally planned.

Instead, AEW will be coming to Rochester on July 8.

The news comes after New York State governor Andrew Cuombo banned almost all gatherings of 500 people or more until further notice.

What does this mean for next Wednesday's Dynamite?

Well, AEW appear to have a few options.

They could potentially move the show to another location. They may choose to cancel next week's edition altogether. Or they could play out the show inside of an empty arena.

That last option may in fact become a reality as Twitter speculation has lead many to believe that an empty arena episode could be taking place in Jacksonville, FL, next week in place of the previously advertised show.

AEW are expected to release a statement regarding their next move later today.

WWE Smackdown also seems to be set for a change-up due to the pandemic, with a shift over to the Performance Center apparently on the table for this week's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.
