In the modern era of entertainment, a strong presence on social media is a crucial aspect of successfully building any brand. Whether it be in news, music, journalism or sport, social media has become an essential cornerstone of exposure and success in the past decade or so. With this being said, All Elite Wrestling clearly know exactly how to build their brand as they sky rocketed in popularity last month.

According to Social Blade, All Elite Wrestling's YouTube channel saw a boom in support last month, gaining over 160,000 subscribers in August. This is AEW's third biggest surge in followers ever and their biggest since AEW Dynamite premiered on TNT in October 2019.

This huge upswing in support is most likely related to the build-up and hype surrounding the recent All Out pay-per-view, where a number of huge matches took place. These included Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against MJF in the main event, and Chris Jericho facing Orange Cassidy in the first ever Mimosa Mayhem match. On top of this, FTR dethroned Kenny Omega & Hangman Page to win their first AEW Tag Team Championships.

The almost unmatched surge in popularity for AEW on YouTube and other social media platforms shows just how popular this year's All Out event was with fans across the world. AEW's YouTube channel has also enjoyed steadily increasing support throughout the year thanks to their free show, AEW Dark, which is broadcast live on YouTube weekly. The most recent episode of AEW Dark, which aired on 15 September, saw a peak viewership of 19,000 during its premiere and has already accumulated a quarter of a million views since.

The support for the YouTube channel is continuing to grow without any signs of stopping, and currently sits on an impressive 1.67 million subscribers. If AEW continue with their current growth rate, then their YouTube channel is predicted to surpass 2 million subscribers by the end of 2020.
