OK, so that's a Ghostbusters and Flight Of The Conchords reference in the same article. How diverse, just like Cody's range of emotions on the latest Dynamite. The promo he cut was so full of passion and vigour that it pushed the same sentimental buttons his old man did back in his prime. That's the ultimate compliment to his work.

Cody can have people cutting metaphorical onions again at the conclusion of Full Gear if he looks to the skies after losing to Jericho and apologises to Dusty. It'd feel so real that only those with hearts of ice could fight back tears themselves, and it'd put over Inner Circle's love of sh*thousery if they mocked him for it.

Not every pay-per-view must end with a happy babyface moment. AEW have a chance to write an affecting piece of wrestling history here, and they can always come back to the fact that Cody might've won had Hager not been Jericho's insurance policy.
