AEW Original Signs Contract Extension
One of the first wrestlers to be unveiled by All Elite Wrestling isn't going anywhere.
Franke Kazarian has signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that while there is currently no word on how long Kaz's extension runs for, the two parties have come to terms on a new agreement.
Kazarian's old SoCal Uncensored stable were literally unveiled as the young promotion's first three wrestlers at its January 2019 press conference in Jacksonville, Florida. The trio have long since gone their separate ways, however, with Scorpio Sky now a heel as one-half of The Men of the Year with Ethan Page and Christopher Daniels working solely as AEW's off-camera Head of Talent Relations when he and Kazarian were forced to split after a May 2021 defeat to The Young Bucks.
Kaz and Sky reigned as AEW's first set of World Tag Team Champions, winning the belts in an October 2019 tournament final against The Lucha Brothers before dropping to Hangman Page and Kenny Omega the following January. Post-Daniels split, Frankie spent much of 2021 working an 'Elite Hunter' gimmick against the faction it was named after.
2022 is expected to be a year of roster movement for AEW, with many of the initial three-year contracts signed in 2019 up for renewal.
