AEW Rookie Retiring To Become Commentator?
AEW just moved this wrestler from the active roster to the "Broadcast Team".
AEW has moved Satnam Singh to the "Broadcast Team" section on their official website, and that has fans speculating on social media about the future of his in-ring career. Will Satnam continue to work matches on the side, or is he set to become a full-timer behind the desk on commentary?
Only time will tell.
Singh has wrestled just 25 times since becoming #AllElite back in 2022. For reference, most of those bouts have come on minor programming like Rampage and the old Dark/Dark: Elevation shows, although he has worked a few matches on Dynamite, Collision and even pay-per-view too; just not many.
Satnam has wrestled just six times in 2024, and only once this month. He's deployed more as a bodyguard for Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett during their segments, but now it seems Singh is destined to move into broadcasting instead of actively wrestling.
This is something to keep an eye on, because Satnam hasn't actually done any announcing work (behind the desk or behind the scenes) for AEW to date. It looks like he's going to give commentary a bash sooner rather than later though.
Curious.
