Per a report from Bleacher Report's Jonathan Snowden, All Elite Wrestling has signed Kris Statlander to a deal (of unspecified duration) that will allow her to supplement her experience on the Independent circuit. Snowden was advised of this personally by CBO Brandi Rhodes.

Per the Wrestling Twitter rumour mill, Statlander expressed something of a reluctance to sign anywhere, which may account for the faith AEW has shown in her. Already, given her profile on Dynamite and this week's shock victory over number one contender Hikaru Shida, the company is reshaping the division in her image. It's not for nothing that Statlander's arrival has coincided with a reappraisal of the division; her raw potential as a special athlete with genuine, unique presence and legitimacy is abundantly clear.

Additionally, in a follow-up to a November report broken by Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens, Big Swole - a tad more raw, but promising nonetheless - has also confirmed her signing to Fightful.

Lastly, AEW ran an angle last night in which Chicago-based Independent talent Melanie Cruise pledged to join the Dark Or-Nightmare Collective in a segment that saw her lose her hair for the privilege. This could be best described as derivative.

No word yet on the terms of that deal, if in fact a deal has been signed.
