AEW To Unveil Women's World Championship At All Out
The likes of Kylie Rae and Britt Baker will have something to fight for on 31 Aug.
All Elite Wrestling will officially unveil their Women's World Championship during 31 August's All Out pay-per-view, as announced by Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes on yesterday's Road to Fyter episode.
Though designed primarily to hype the upcoming Fyter Fest show (29 June), the video kicked off with Rhodes thanking the fans for helping All Out sell out within 15 minutes (as well as confirming the reported 137,000 people queueing for tickets), before revealing what should be a major step for the nascent promotion's women's division.
Double Or Nothing (25 May) saw potential title contenders highlighted in two individual matches, with Britt Baker, Kylie Rae, Awesome Kong, and Nyla Rose contesting a fatal four-way, while Hikaru Shida, Riho, and Ryo Mizunami collided with Aja Kong, Emi Sakura, and Yuka Sakazaki in a six-person tag.
The Road to Fyter Fest's third episode also brought an interview with CEO Gaming's Alex Jebailey, with whom AEW are collaborating for Fyter Fest. We also got an out-of-character promo from Christopher Daniels, who put Japanese legend CIMA over huge before their 29 June clash, and a package on Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy (the Private Party) and their Brooklyn upbringing.
