Commentator Tony Schiavone and referee Aubrey Edwards unveiled what will become a new singles belt for the AEW women's division during the show. AEW will crown its first champion via a tournament commencing on 5 January 2022, which is when Dynamite moves from TNT to TBS, hence the new strap's name.

Thunder Rosa, Ruby Soho, Jade Cargill, and Skye Blue all cut promos on the belt later in the show, setting their sights on the tournament. AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker, meanwhile, was typically defiant, saying she was glad the rest of the division now had something other than her to worry about.

The Mat Man Pro Wrestling Podcast's Andrew Zarian became the first to report on a potential new women's singles title on 22 September. Trios championships and women's tag team straps have been rumoured for AEW in the past, though neither has come to fruition yet.

Fightful Select reported prior to the TBS Title's unveiling that internal AEW speculation pointed towards the belt being presented similarly to the men's TNT Title. Currently held by Sammy Guevara, that. belt has been in operation since May 2020, with AEW going out of its way to avoid it being tagged as a "secondary" or "midcard" title.
