AEW Worlds End 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

10. Killswitch Wins The Pre-Show Battle Royale

Currently, Worlds End's 'Zero Hour' portion boasts two matches. Hook vs. Wheeler Yuta for the FTW Title, and a 20-man Battle Royale to determine a new number one contender for the TNT belt. There's likely to be a shift on that front come the main card, so AEW will need to be smart about who they line up next.

Killswitch must be in contention.

The announcers could call his win an insurance policy for Christian Cage should the patriarch lose his strap to Adam Copeland later on. Logically, Cage would try to poach his henchmen's title shot anyway, which might end up being a step too far for the artist formerly known as Luchasaurus.

He's been conspicuous by his absence lately, so this might not be possible if he's struggling through some stuff physically. If Killswitch is healthy and raring to go, then he'd be a solid choice to win the Battle Royale and add some more spice to the 'No DQ' effort.
