All Elite Wrestling star Jake Atlas has been arrested on a charge of misdemeanour battery (domestic violence) in Orlando, Florida.

The police report contains details of an alleged incident occurring on 22 and 23 May, with Atlas arrested on the latter date. The 27-year-old had been drinking at an establishment on the 22nd and called his partner for a ride home at 10 PM EDT. His partner arrived, but Atlas wanted him to stay out with him rather than head home. According to the victim, Jake then wanted his partner to head to a different friend's house for intimacy but grew upset when Atlas' partner paid "half more attention" to her than Jake.

A "verbal argument" followed before Atlas "became physically aggressive." The wrestler charged at the victim, necessitating somebody standing between them to prevent the attack, before an intoxicated Jake was told to "sleep it off" by the witness. Atlas then followed the victim as they left the residence, yelling at them before launching into another take. The witness intervened once more but the victim was left with a scratched forearm and torn tank top. The witness then separated Atlas from the victim. Temporarily put into a car, Jake exited the vehicle, demanding to be taken back to the apartment he shares with the victim. Atlas then refused to leave, resulting in the police being called.

Per the responding officer, Atlas "spoke badly" of the victim rather than telling his side of the story, despite being given the opportunity to do so. Jake was determined as the situation's aggressor by said officer.

Released from jail later on 23 May, Atlas signed a no contact order stating he must have no communication with the victim and stay 500 feet away from them on the day of his arrested. He will be arraigned in an Orange County, Florida court on 28 June.

Signed by AEW in January 2022, Atlas has been out of action with a torn ACL since working his first televised bout for the promotion later that month.
