AEW's Chris Jericho Makes Surprise PWG Debut
AEW star Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society were at PWG last night.
Chris Jericho debuted for cult independent group Pro Wrestling Guerrilla last night, competing at the promotion's flagship event, Battle of Los Angeles.
The former AEW World Champion was there alongside a strong Jericho Appreciation Society contingent. Partnering with Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker, Jericho was victorious over Jonathan Gresham, Evil Uno, SB KENTo, Michael Oku, and Kevin Blackwood, with the veteran scoring the pinfall on Blackwood following the Judas Effect.
As well as wrestling, Jericho cut a post-match promo in which he called PWG the modern-day equivalent of ECW.

The JAS were accompanied by stablemates Anna Jay, Tay Melo, and Jake Hager for the match, which was set up when Garcia reconfigured an existing tag match in which he would have teamed with Blackwood and Gresham. Garcia, the reigning PWG World Champion, claimed he only teams with sports entertainers, hence the JAS coming out.
This was Jericho's first bout for a non-Tony Khan promotion or on his own cruise since 5 January 2020, when he faced Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14. It came on the same week that the 52-year-old put Ricky Starks over on AEW Dynamite.
